minolta maxxum 5000

Ok guys i bought a minolta maxxum 5000 at a garage sale today.I think i got a great buy.It came with a minolta 70-210mm lens and a vivitar 28-70mm lens and yes its a 35 mm camera.But my questin is are the lens interchangable with the nicon D90 or any other digital slr cameras..For a 5$ camera it takes pretty good pictures,but i need to learn more about it.Any info would be great...

I doubt that you can interchange your Minolta Lenses with Nikon, Canon or any other top brands. There is available adapters to allow this however sometimes the autofocus and other coupled items are lost in the process. For $5. if it works, you did OK!

Great news, Minolta Maxxum lenses are compatible with Sony DSLR cameras. Sony bought out Minolta and they used the same mount and contacts for the autofocus. I am sure of this because I own a Sony A300 nad have several minolta lenses. You got a great buy, congrats!
