Mother and Brood

Centruroides vittatus aka Strip Backed Scorpion.

Considered non-poisonous but can carry a painful sting, most often like a red wasp or strong bee sting.

Few people are ever bitten here. I know more people who have been bitten by killer bees. Yellow jackets and red wasps sting more people, and of course fireants go without mention.
