I have to warn ya'll, I've got a million of these. ;)
Very striking, RC!
This was actually the result of a lighting problem, but don't tell anyone.
Cool. Luck... skill... fortunately, only the photog knows for sure. (And I'll never tell) ;)
Here's two that sort of qualify as silhouettes.
This one reminds me of solstice's first post on the Tree thread. It's about all I've got, I think. And I just took it this weekend. :)
Hey, was that you in my front yard taking a picture of my palm tree?!? LOL - it does look very similar. There's just something so striking about palms against the sky. And that color is beautiful, shading from purple to blue. Nice job!
"Hey, was that you in my front yard taking a picture of my palm tree?!?"
Shhh. Don't tell her we were all there, she might get a little paranoid.
Not the best, but, I don't have a lot in the sihlouette department. RC will make up for my me.
My brother and me in the Bighorns a year ago.
Nice silhouettes, everyone!
I think it's time to install some security cameras!
The beautiful central coast of California near Ragged Point, Hwy. 1.
LOL solstice and rc. :)
Carol in california.....breathtaking. You can see almost forever.
The Bighorns, beautiful. Jefferson, sobering. California coast, majestic. I'm pretty sure this thread would make a great backdrop for American the Beautiful. Great pics.
Here are a few more of mine
Oh, and while we're singing that song, while not maybe a silhouette, here's one that will go along
shrimp boat in gulf and sun rising over marshes - Empire, La.
Here is a link that might be useful: MY BLOG
Oooo, I love the transparent flag! Great shot!
These are all beautiful pictures!
Thanks. I have always enjoyed that one. It looks like it has been photoshopped or fixed up with edits, but, its pretty close to what was out there that morning.
And, ones with a Western feel:
Horse approaching out of the fog
rc...I like all your silhouettes, especially your windmill...but the horse knocks me out.
Beautiful, RC. I've always liked windmill pictures. We have one on the farm here, but, it's not used anymore. Yours looks like a Chicago Aermotor if I'm not mistaken.
I also have a soft heart for windmills,....lovely RC!...also birds!
And, Ron, your windmill knowledge obviously exceeds mine, even though we're surrounded by them out here. I'll have to check out what that one says next time I'm out that way.
Great hummer, Konrad. I can never get bird shots that detailed.
Did I tell ya I have a million of these? Maybe its 2. ha
Keep on posting them, rc! :)
