Weekly Photo progression

eric_waJune 19, 2007

I just installed this rock wall along my driveway. I thought it might be fun to post a pic once a week. The first photos are the blank slate. The rockery is planted with seed, so it maybe slow going at first. I will post a new pic every Monday.

The tee post fence is temporary. Will need a more stout fence for the pigs next year.

That's going to be a good looking wall. I see a nice garden back there, too.

When I ordered cover crop seed from Peaceful Valley, they through in free seed. It's different flower seed mixes.
Butterfly Garden mix
Hollyhocks
Lupine, perennial
Lupine, Russel
Pacific Northwest wildflower mix
Poppy, California Golden
If you want to know whats in the mixes, go to the site below. Hope this isn't considered advertisement.

Hey everyone,

I installed the post for my new fence. Doing so, I trashed most of the flower starts. When I designed the fence layout, I thought it would be safe to plant. I should have waited on seeding.

That's coming along really good. And look at that neat coil of hose around the bucket! At least, it looks like water hose-

Yes water hose. The green bucket is full of water for the two dogs.

Still not much in the way of flowers. It's turned more into a fence project.

This is two photos stiched together.

Coming along nicely. That is a huge project you have going there. Should be beautiful when it's all done.

Good stitching, Eric.
Picture took a long time to load, but well worth the wait.

I have a program that stitches too, but the finished product comes out with curved edges. How do you get yours to result in a nice rectangle? What program do you use?

The program I use is Camedia Master, which is the software that came w/my Olympus camera.

Julie,

I have "Microsoft Picture it, Photo premium 9". It doesn't have the stitch feature. What I did was, make a copy of one photo and pasted it along side the other. Then wiggle around a bit and resize until they match. Then save the the new photo. After saving, I crop the photo to square it up. Save again. Is this clear as mud??

It's not perfect. See the line in the photo.

Very clever!
I never would have seen the line if you didn't point it out.

Your explanation was clear. That took a lot of patience and a good eye to match the edges.

eric wa, Might want to take a look at the link below for your panoramic pics. It's fast and does a good job.

Here's a sample of Autostich work I did of our garden. Six images, about 3 minutes or less to process and then cropped with ACDsee.
