Taken this evening. Flower is about 3/4 of an inch in diameter.

Did you have to get down on the ground to snap the photo?

Sabatia campestris, aka Meadow Pink, Prairie Rose-gentian, Prairie Sabatia, and Texas Star.

There were some white ones there also, probably albinos.
