Underwater Camera Cases & grease for o-ring

I have one a Canon Elph and the matching underwater case. Unfortunately, I have misplaced the tube of lube that came with the case. I believe is it silicone grease that is used to lube the o-ring seal to make the case water proof.

I had read online that you can by silicone grease at a hardware store. I sent my husband and he came back with something called "white lithium grease". can this be see with my canon underwater camera case? I a going on a trip to the Caribbean in a few days and I want to make sure I have the right stuff.

can white lithium grease be used? Or should I try to find silicone grease?

Either would work well in my opinion.
