While driving through Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge, we saw two gators.

First, this guy (or girl).

Then this one:

DH noticed he had something in his mouth, I couldn't tell what it was until I looked at the pic on my computer.

I could tell it was a duck. I'm glad I didn't see him catch it.

Canon Digital Rebel, Canon 75-300mm IS USM lens.

I love that wildlife refuge; we try to drive through 2 or 3 times a year. Last year I saw a flock of over 20 spoonbills but didn't have my camera with me!!!

Ok, Joan, when they start eating the nieve, the unaware and the uninitiated in Florida... time to head back to Minnesota.

There is probably a reason why there are more Minnesotians in Minnesota than the swamps of Florida. Hint, hint. ;)
