older lenses, new digital camera

bspoffordFebruary 26, 2009

I have a Canon A-1 (35mm film SLR) with a huge array of Canon lenses. If I were to purchase a Canon EOS model, are the lenses I currently have usable with the digital camera? Is there something about lenses used with digital cameras specific to the digital process?

As you can tell, I'm a little behind the times here.

I have been using a Canon p&s and would like to upgrade, but hate to see older great lenses go to waste.

As long these are EF lenses then you're fine,.. Canon has introduced in 1987 with EOS cameras.
