Rare sight at Salt Creek, Death Valley National Park

carol_in_californiaFebruary 22, 2007

When DH and I took a walk on the boardwalk at Salt Creek, we didn't see much in the way of wildlife....mostly ravens.

We did happen to see this bird and when I looked up it's identity, I saw that it was a Clark's Nutcatcher, a rare bird in Death Valley in the winter.
