Cleaning off spackle dust before painting

cynandjonDecember 25, 2010

We just spackled and sanded the drywall. We soon will be ready to paint. What is the best way to remove spackle dust from the drywall so the drywall is clean to paint?

Thanks

I use a damp rag.

If there is major amount of dust (like a whole wall of repair), I use a big fat sponge and bucket of clear water and rinse and wring well frequently. replacing water frequently too.

Make sure everything is super dry before painting.
