Looking for bathroom paint color help - maybe 101 paint matching

destruct05November 12, 2011

I have a bathroom with slightly off white (beige) ceramic tiles. I have new contemporary hanging oak cabinets (natural) and a brow-gray vanity top (Silestone Amazon).

I was thinking to give it some contrast with a slight green wall paint. For example Glidden "white sage".

Im not even sure how one matches paint with existing surfaces. Is there supposed to be a common tone? Or the opposite?

If you haven't, post this on the Home-Dec. forum here.

Lotsa good color/decorating people there.

This forum tends to be just about technical matters somewhat....
