Paint for open floor plan??

holcombe3October 4, 2013

I am stressing over picking paint colors. I also can't decide if I need to paint the ceiling a color or not. I have a very open floor plan. This is a pic of the living room. I'm not sure what part you paint as the ceiling and which part you paint with the wall. I'm tempted to call an interior designer just to help me pick out colors!

The flat parts are wall, the angled parts are ceiling. I like painted ceilings. If you go to Benjamin Moore color gallery on line, you can pick a wall color and it will show you shades lighter or darker than that. With ceilings this high, I'd go a shade darker for the ceiling. If you go to Ben Moore store, they often have color consultants there who can help you with color selection.
