painting stucco nightmare

roosmaSeptember 27, 2010

Desperate for recommendations re:

Best way to get paint off stucco,

Best primer/paint to use for stucco.

Have a 130 yr old house which has been painted several times. The only areas where the paint stays on are the ones I've very laboriously prepped, mostly by hand (scraping, etc)

Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

You are at the stage where "bead blasting" is needed.

Somewhere in that mess of paint layers is one that breaks away and all the paint falls off.

It's like sandblasting, but with softer plastic beads)
