BM black paints - have you painted a cabinet black?

I am modernizing a stained oak buffet, painting it black, Do I have to sand it down or can I just grit it up a bit with steel wool, then prime and paint?

I think black will look great! My DIL wanted a black buffet for her dining room. She wanted a red undercoat and she wanted some of it to show through the black finish. I hate to tell you what I used. I sprayed it with flat black then sanded it then used a dark wax on it. It really came out beautiful.

But I say use what you have it's only paint, you don't like it paint it again! I love BM aura, I just finished painting the paneling in our bedroom with it loved the finish and the way it went on.
