Need help with paint colors for 1950s brick ranch house

lahusterAugust 19, 2010

I'm going to paint my blonde brick 1950s house and would love some ideas for paint colors; I'm thinking of a taupe or warm stone color...and I like the quality of Duron and Benjamin Moore but would love your input on exterior paints as well. Roof color most likely will be "weathered wood" - a nice neutral roof color. Will have standard shutters and a 3 light frosted glass front wooden front door.

Any tips for paint colors??? Assume window trim is white...

I love, love, love blonde brick. It has such a lovely golden color. Are you sure you can't work with it instead of painting over it? It has a great midcentury style to it that I find appealing.

What color is blonde brick? I've always described our 1964 brick ranch as orangey -- it's kind of a light terra cotta color.
