tacky primer

sue331July 18, 2012

Hi, I'm refinishing a set of outside shutters. I've taken them down, removed all paint, and sanded. I then applied two coats of Kilz Premium Primer (water based-oil not available in Calif according to Home Depot salesperson) which I purchased two days ago. At least 4 hours between coats. The last coat was applied about 24 hr ago. Primer is still sticky. What should I do?

Throw out the crap kilz and go to a real paint store and get some QUALITY primer

3 of the most difficult surfaces to keep paint on; Shutters, fences & porch floors.
