tone down the gloss

sunnytopJune 21, 2009

I painted bathroom cabinets with satin impervo and applied a glaze. I coated over with a clear waterbase polycrylic finish that I thought was a semi gloss and turns out it was actually a gloss. Although I like some sheen, I think this needs toning down. Is it possible to do that if I sand and apply a satin or semigloss on top?

Yes - they do it to floors all the time (gloss is harder, so put that on for durability and then put satin on top for the look).
