Mohawk lacquer in Swiss Coffee?

scorpionleatherJune 20, 2013

My cabinet maker has the standard pure white Mohawk lacquer that he was planning to use for our new kitchen cabinets. But since our walls are all painted with Behr Swiss Coffee, I'm thinking the cabinets should also be the same shade of white rather than the more bluish pure white. But he also tells me that Mohawk doesn't have a Swiss Coffee white, they mix custom colors instead. How would I get the Mohawk paint to match the Behr brand shade of Swiss Coffee? I know that Behr has standard color selections plus computer matching, but no idea how the Mohawk lacquer system works.

I found the answer, there are some Mohawk dealers that use the "expert tint system" and the one I contacted has the formula to make a tint similar to Dunn Edwards Swiss Coffee.
