Really fast wall repair

homeboundMay 5, 2011

I'm looking for some ideas to speed up really small paint jobs (eg. one room or less), so that wall repairs can be quickly followed by painting same day and even a couple hours later at most. Think small, but deep holes, that take too long to fully dry with easysand 20 or 5, even with a hair dryer. Eg. yesterday I moved a shower rod holder and had 4 toggle bolt holes and some crumbing to repair. I hit it with "5" mixed thick, but still have to go back today to paint. How do you guys deal with stuff like this? (Plaster, maybe?) Thanks much.

Usually it's done with "Hot Mud".

It's in the white or tan USG-bags.
These set by chemical-reaction, and get HARD. Skim out carefully and leave only s slight overfill. The less sanding the better with this kinda stuff!
Mix only small batches.

Even for large holes, the EasySand 5 or even EasySand20 dries pretty good in about 3 hours. You could try a heat gun instead of a blow dryer too.
