Newly installed doors

goodbyekittyFebruary 22, 2014

We just recently installed a dark oak entry door with sidelights. I am using left over BM White Dove for the trim around the perimeter and staining the inner/framing woodwork with a dark oak stain. While taping off the door I realized the bottom trim is a plastic? WTHeck?

Is that normal and will it take a stain? I planned on staining the bottom trim, but should I look for a tiny can of dark paint instead?

Do you mean the threshold where people step on when entering and leaving?
