Anyone used Pratt & Lambert Accolade Velvet ,Suede or Stoneridge?

kendog2February 4, 2012

I had planned to paint our interior walls with flat paint but just came across an opportunity to purchase Pratt & Lambert Accolade Velvet for only $15.99 per gallon. (The store is replacing their Pratt & Lambert line with Benjamin Moore.)

The salesperson at the store told me that the velvet finish is between flat and eggshell. I've seen it described online as between eggshell and satin. I really hate shiny paint on walls so I'm a little hesitant to try this stuff except maybe in the bathroom. Has anyone used P&L velvet? If so, how would you describe the sheen?

The store also has Accolade Suede or Stoneridge finishes for only $11.50 per gallon. Does anyone have comments on these types of paint? Is the Suede more flat than Velvet? Are Stoneridge and Suede easy enough to apply?

Thanks so much.
