Benjamin Moore White Ceiling/Trim Paint

ZeldaRFebruary 4, 2013

We are painting our whole house with different BM paint colors - greens, blues, beiges. We intend to use Natura paint to keep down VOCs (we, unfortunately, smell paint fumes from a mile away). The only thing left to decide is trim color and ceiling color - and it's proving to be the most confusing decision.

We have BM White Opulence as the trim in one room already and like the color. Our former decorator suggested that we use BM Regal semi-gloss for the trim, and we did, but it chips like crazy. Assuming we stick with BM White Opulence (and we'll take other suggestions for a crisp white trim color), what BM paint should we use on trim? Would Natura semi-gloss hold up better? Should we use Aura semi-gloss instead?

Also, we used BM Ceiling White (flat finish) on the ceiling in the room with the BM White Opulence trim. Should we use BM White Opulence on the ceiling too for the new whole house paint adventure? Is there a special BM ceiling paint we should ask for?

Appreciate any help!

If the regal is chipping, you have some kind of a problem other than the paint selection
