One last holiday idea
About 10 years ago I found a way to make cooking for winter holiday dinners and parties a little easier. Since we often return to the same dishes, cookies and snacks, I bundled all of those recipes in my recipe box with a red ribbon and made a tab labeled "Christmas". When the holidays roll around, I pull out this bundle and I am set. I've even made a card with the typical items I need to add to my grocery list. (Otherwise, I may forget the parsley, molasses and red cinnamon candies for the gingerbread men.) Now I don't have to riffle through the alphabetical box for 20-some recipes. And if I happen to need one of those recipes during the year, I always know where to find it.
