Organizing a deep closet

SamTeeJuly 4, 2012

Hi All,

Long-time reader, first time poster here. We just moved into an older house in the midwest, and are trying to get our closets together.

The one I'm wrestling with is a pretty weird shape: 50" deep, 28" wide with an 8' ceiling. It has 2' deep shelf at the back. In our old house I had my own walk-in, so this is tough!

Many thanks in advance, and happy 4th!

What do you want to store in the closet? Clothes, stuff, some mixture of both?

28" wide and 50" deep is an odd dimension. I don't suppose there's a way to access it from another side (like the 50" dimension).
