What is a good ratio of vinegar to water to take down painted wall paper?

Be careful going to that website, it locks you in.

One cup of vinegar to one cup hot water.
You can also use cheap fabric softener mixed with hot water as an alternative.

I used cheap fabric softener mixed with hot water, but it left a fabric softener residue along with the paste residue, so now I need something to remove the paste and fabric softener before I can prime my walls! Any suggestions?

I found more a bucket of hot water, a plastic scrub sponge and some vinegar gets rid of whatever is left behind.
