Quick way to peel Peaches.

sewhappy2

I wanted to add a chopped up fresh peach to my oatmeal this morning and instead of scalding it in water for a few minutes to loosen up the skin so it could be peeled off easily, I decided to try zapping it in the microwave for 30 seconds.

IT WORKED! The peach wasn't too hot to hold but the skin peeled off as if it had been scalded.

You might need to experiment with the timing with different microwave models, and I didn't try doing this with more than the single peach, but it sure was easier than boiling water to put it in.

I wonder if it would work for nectarines too?
