what type of architecture is this house

Hello, I am trying to get a specific name of the type of architecture of our 1928 Ohio home. It is foursquare, 2 story, but the front has a large A shaped entry, that is as tall as the house and about 4 feet deep. There is a small stoop, but no porch. We plan to return at least this front entry back to the original decor (wood shingle or shake vs vinyl).

Any info would be so appreciated.

Nancy, do you think you can post a photo? It would be a lot easier to give specifics with a photo to look at.

It could be a foursquare style that was modified. Most had front porches and didn't have an A entry. Could the entry have been added later? Here's more on the foursquare with pictures.

Here is a link that might be useful: foursquare
