Stapleless stapler

kathyg_in_miMarch 19, 2007

Okay, I saw one in a gift shop in Florida (much warmer there than in northern Michigan). It's a stapler that does NOT use staples. It kind of makes a hole in the paper and twists the tabs or something.

Of course, in my infinite wisdom I did not buy it (only $5).

Has anyone seen such a creature? If so where? Have a link to it?

Is this it at the Container Store?

That looks kind of neat. But it only handles 5 pages. What do you do if you need to staple more? I like it for the "gadget" factor but if you'll still need a stapler is it worth the clutter of one more thing? Of course this is the person who just last year finally used up all the staples her dad bought her when she left for college. And yes, that was decades ago! My stapler is still going strong.

Thanks infodiva, I guess the secret here is in the words you use in your search. Obviously, not too well here.
Anyways, I want it to staple items that I will later shred and not have to pull or tear paper to get rid of staples. I do have a very nice stapler. Will order this later in the week.

I never had to remove staples for a shredder.

I would not have an extra gadget lying around the house....

Can't say I've used one. I have a regular stapler that works and a $2.50 box of staples lasts an awfully long time.

If you come into some mad money here is another staple free fastening system. Garrett Wade has never been cheap but they generally sell pretty high quality stuff.
