Document boxes

sheconquersMarch 26, 2007

I have been looking for boxes (preferably linen covered) to use for filing in my office. I have found that filing cabinets do not work for me. I have found some, but they are usually so expensive. They need to be shallow, with lids, to fit 8 1/2 x 11 paper. Does anybody know of any place where they might be selling for a little less than $10 instead of the $10-15 range?

I thnk the $10 to $15 range is pretty good, esp. if they're fabric covered and not simply cardboard!

don't get too snug-fitting a box--you can get both hands in to pick up the roughly-8.5-inch-wide stack, and you don't want to worry about whether your stack is straight, you just want to be able to scoop it up, sort of straighten it, and plop it in.

These guys are exactly $10

And this is on sale about just under $10

Your comments about filing cabinets not working for you made me think of Elizabeth10029, a poster here, and her quest to solve her "messy papers" problem--she was more horizontally organized, and wanted boxes to lay papers in.
