A 90' fiberglass door, anyone?

doofusMay 14, 2009

Hello! We'd like to replace our old and crafty entry-door and its two side-lights with a two-door "system". However, the current door is 89½"-tall, which turns out to be a non-standard door height... Plenty of manufacturers make 6'8"- and 8'-tall doors, but we need 7½' (90"). We don't want to reduce the door height, because that would make its top trim lower, than our windows...

Do we really have to pay through the nose and wait forever to get the custom doors, or is somebody out there already offering this size? Thanks!

Limit yourself to doors that can be cut down.

If you take off from both the top and bottom of the door using the correct proportions (not always equal) it will look fine.
