Neat idea: Army Post Exchange turned into a house

ShemCreekMarch 20, 2013

Came across this old Army Post Exchange

for historic Ft. Moultrie that was turned into a house. Unique in that it has four "twins" that we're built on stock Army plans of the day.

Strangely, last year I bought the truck from the guy who owns this house. This year, I am selling my truck, and he is selling this house.

Thought some of you that read this forum might enjoy a look at a nice job this fellow did with a truly unique "fixer-upper".

I love the front. As might be expected in a converted building, many of the rooms seem not to be scaled for a residence, either too big or too small. What could you possibly do in the huge back room?
