XP: Old house pictures

young-gardenerMarch 14, 2011

The Small Homes folks suggested cross posting this here. I live in our town's historic district and snapped a few photos while out the other day. We're constantly getting ideas from the other houses in our area. Perhaps they'll provide you with a little inspiration. I'll take some more when the yards are in bloom. The area is filled with restored old homes.

Here is a link that might be useful: cottage pictures

Gorgeous! You live in a nice town. Thanks for the photos. My house is a plain 1938 brick 3 BR that my DH calls a "1 and 1/2" because the second floor ceiling is less than 7 feet high (ditto for the basement ceiling).

We are about to have the porch re-done and I would LOVE to add gingerbread, but it would not be in keeping with the time the house was built.

I used to say I would love to live across the street from a Victorian so I could enjoy the view without the upkeep!
