Anyone know any good calzones or stromboli recipes? I have frozen dough or can make fresh. I just figured this would be a good make ahead dish since you buy them frozen.
Roll you dough out into circles. Place some sauce and whatever fillings you like on one half. If you are using mushrooms or sausage, I would cook them first. Fold other half over and seal. Bake in a 450 preheated oven, on a preheated stone if you have one, or on a lightly oiled pan. Be careful that you do not overfill each calzone especially with the sauce. You can freeze these baked or unbaked.
