My KD advised a beveled edge so my granite wouldn't chip. I have a lighter (and therefore weaker?) granit e.
Other suggestions? I'm not sure I love the look of the bevel.
There are many edge options. Google it : ) & definitely get one you LIKE! ; )
There are different types of edges avilable please check attached pictures. This picture is taken from different edge profile of Black Galaxy Granite

I am not sure why my posts don't show up... I am trying again. We are getting granite installed today and chose a half bullnose edge. I was told by several people that the full bullnose is a problem because liquids can spill over the sides and roll onto the cabinets, instead of the floor. The other special edges are pretty too, but I have the ogee edge can be crumb catcher and some of the fancier edges cost a lot more. If you have young children you might want to consider a rounded edge.
Check out pictures on houzz.com for edging. That is such a fun site, with lots of kitchen eye candy!
I thought bevel was prone to chipping? we went with 1/4" radius - just slightly more than an eased edge, rather plain but it's what we wanted. l
