Well, what DO you do with it?

I occasionally visit the Harvest forum to check out their goodies this time of year, & just had to direct all you chefs to the posting below.

I'd guess their consumer liability insurance is a very low rate.

Here is a link that might be useful: Harvest Forum

Wow, so you can't even cook in this particular pot?

I wouldn't bother washing the labels, then.

I love these ridiculous directives. In England a couple of years ago I saw a rider on a horse wearing a flourescent jacket with "rider on horse" written in large letters on the back. Sigh!

Fairway Supermarket here in NYC. Warning sign above pickled olives:

OLIVES MAY HAVE PITS
---------------------------------------------

It is not that New Yorkers are stupid, it is New Yorkers have smart liability lawyers. Soon you may see signs:

LOBSTERS MAY HAVE SHELLS

WHOLE CHICKENS MAY HAVE BONES

SEEDLESS GRAPES MAY HAVE SEEDS

The last time I bought a new blow dryer for my hair, it had these two cautions (among others):

Not for use while sleeping and
Not for use to be thawing freezed pipes
