Burning scalp with menopause anyone??

dfromtexasSeptember 13, 2013

I'm 53 no period in 2 years. I have hot flashes and night sweats, anxiety, heart racing and palpitations. The worst is for 2 years i have had a burning scalp everyday with no hair loss. Has anyone heard of this?? It HURTS!!

I haven't had a burning scalp on a daily basis. But on occasional days I notice my scalp feels like it's burning or extremely sensitive if I touch it, for example when trying to shampoo, towel dry or brush my hair. However, oddly enough, I am not aware that my scalp is burning/painful unless I do gently touch a finger to my scalp. I'm also having the other typical menopause symptoms you mentioned, as well.
