Wrapping water heater in outdoor closet?

bookertSeptember 30, 2008

Hi,

Since my water heater is in an outside enclosed closet (vented) should I still wrap it? Do I have to cut out any certain areas for safety?

Thanks for your help!

if it's electric you should be able to follow the instructions that come with the wrap package. If it's gas I would be extremely careful in wrapping it. I would check with my gas supplier to get their opinion.
