marketing a mfg home

Our 1995 Silvercrest home sits on our own 8000 sq ft lot a block from park, beach and village on the north coast of Oregon. We are looking at nearby country acreage with an eye to placing a new mfg home and selling our present home. Thing is, we are surrounded by $600,000 plus stick built homes. How do I overcome the attitude of buyers to mfg homes ?

I think the only way would be to find a buyer who would might see an advantage to having the least expensive house in a higher-end neighbourhood, which is said to be better than the opposite, but in the end no matter how terrific your place is, minis are not seen as appreciating in RE markets, and you may just have to live with the reputation. You're not suddenly going to change the attitude or beliefs all by yourself anytime soon (sorry!).

I agree with larke. I would move it to a better location and price it to something that people could afford. location is everything when selling any type of home.
