convert fluorescent to incandescent

sturdyNovember 13, 2009

I bought and installed a fan inside my shower. The fan has a fluorescent light combined with the fan. Problem: light is not bright enough and hate the white/blue light of the fluorescent. Am I able to convert the unit to incandescent?

If it's a screw lamp , or twist and lock lamp, you can replace it with a higher wattage CFL, but if it's a plug-in lamp you cannot change the lamp for a higher wattage lamp.
You can, however, change the lamp, in either case, with a lamp that has lower degree Kelvin rating.
A CFL with a 2700k-3000k rating will give a light output closer to an incandescent lamp.
Check the rating on the lamp you have now
