Any 'lighting' experts, Please Help!

Hello -

I would greatly appreciate any help with this. I have a Advance Mark III R-2S40-1-TP Ballast in a two bulb fixture. However, I would like to know if there are any re-wiring possibilities to power just a SINGLE T12 tube rather than the default two bulbs the fixture takes??? The ballast has 2 yellow, 2 red, 2 blue and a black and white wire coming out of the ballast.

If re-wiring is not possible, any other modifications with this ballast to be able to use just one T12 with it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Probably not.

Btw, T-12 tubes are now obsolete. The replacement T-8 tubes are far more efficient.

Would one tube still work if the other were burnt out? Or does it work if one tube is simply removed? What would the safety implications be of either option?

The remaining tube will work. There are no safety implications I can think of.
