Supplemental Lighting in a Skylight

legallinOctober 20, 2011

We are purchasing a 20-year old home with a large, traditional skylight over the kitchen island. It also has some ugly spotlight type lamps inside of it, for night-time/additional lighting, I assume. Does anyone have any suggestions for something that would look better for supplemental skylight lighting?

hmmm...maybe some hanging pendants? A picture would help to show exactly just what you now have. Are the spotlights coming out of the side walls of the skylight, assuming it is framed in a rectangular box?
