do fluorescent fixtures need anything extra?

We're taking out a traditional lightbulb island fixture, do I need to do anything different electricity wise for an fluorescent fixture?

Nothing else is needed
Make sure the ground wire is attached, and the outlet is not controlled with a dimmer switch
