side lights for dressing table to apply makeup

wakefield52July 11, 2014

We are building a 5 foot dressing table between 2 walls and I plan to put a full mirror and the wall above the dressing table. Question is what kind of lighting? I think I will put high hats above but need side lighting to see when I apply makeup. In our "old" master bedroom (new one will be in the new addition) has long brass 3 inch "boxes" that hold many round bulbs. Great but ugly and old fashioned. Any ideas?

I had thought about the led mirrors which are way too expensive and I do not think the light is "real".

Robern uplift sconces are an option. They aren't inexpensive though.

Thanks so much for the info. We are doing a major remodel and adding on so there is much to think about. These look very interesting. I have not idea of lighting costs but know they will be a major number.
