LED Undercabinet Options

baltymoronJuly 27, 2009

I am contemplating my choices for undercabinet lighting. I was originally just going to keep it simple with puck xenons but like the idea of the increased energy efficiency and decreased heat with the LEDs. I have read of people's positive experience with the guys at environmental lights. Has anyone used the undercabinet LEDs from Juno? They look nice because as best as I can tell, they are line voltage or have a built in transformer. I don't have a great place to put the transformer and such that would be required for the environmental lights system. Are there any other brands that people have liked for LED undercabinet lights? I don't think dimmability is a big deal for me.

This one works well. I've not been able to try Juno's yet. Alkco is identical to the Color Kinetics as both are owned by Philips now.

CSL has an LED undercab which doesn't need a driver at all. It's using Nichia's 120v chip. It's more expensive than the Color Kinetics, but it's slightly brighter and smaller.
We do much more with Color Kinetics, though.
