I've been using CREE bulbs for my flashlights if not portable lanterns....so I'm familiar with them

For cans, I still prefer a *traditional trim* and bulb. It's a aesthetic factor.

Have you looked at the cr6? There are trims that you can buy to replace the pre-attached white trim piece.
