clip on shade for '30s ceiling fixture bulb : pix

pjp9543April 26, 2010

Here are 2 photos of the fixtures in our 1930 bungalow. We like them, but don't like the bare bulb look and would like to soften the light with clip on shades--either over this type of bulb, or a chandelier-type: basically an upside down clip on shade.

Having trouble finding small paper shades for this--does anyone have any ideas for sources? Seems as if I used to see them years ago, but can't find now. Thanks for reading.

I was searching for ceiling clip-on shades and ran into your post. (I'm tring to put a shade on a comnpact fluorescent near the ceiling.) Since you say you can use a shade that would work for a candelabra bulb, there seem to be lots of choices.

I searched on omething like
ceiling bulb clip-on shade

The web sites I've come across that I found the most relevant/useful were: (this contains shades from the first web site, which is one of those that gathers info from various web pages)

Good luck!
