Sealing gap around recessed lights to sheetrock

schutz2106March 30, 2009

What should be used to seal gap around sheetrock to recessed lighting? used rotozip to cut around lights and want to seal it before blowing insulation back up in attic ? Used thomas lights which dont have a gasket or anything to seal it up.

If the gap is just the width of the rotozip cutter you should be able to caulk it. If larger you may need to use drywall compound.
