GX24q-3 question

alikoMarch 15, 2011

I've a few questions about GX24q3-3 base. I have thes in my kitchen recess and have 24W florescent installed now.

- How do I know if it is dimmable? I found dimmable florescent bulb on the net for this base.

- Could there be any LED replacement bulb for this base? I saw some info that there is a ballast in the base, but not sure.

- Does any one know any easy way to convert this recess to a conventional light base?

The electronic ballast that comes with the can has to be dimmable.

Yes, there are LED replacements available. Typically, this requires the electronic ballast to be disconnected.
