Kalco Lighting Calcite Glass choice?

doonieFebruary 28, 2010

I am having a hard time figuring out the difference between the Calcite and the Faux Calcite glass option for Kalco Lighting. I know the Faux can use 100W, but the real calcite only 40W. Does anyone know how they actually look in comparison to each other?

So, I spoke with the company. The calcite, being a natural stone has much more variation, so ideally, lookwise, that is what I would want. However, this light is over the kitchen table with an elevated ceiling. The total wattage would be 480. I would also have several recessed ceiling lights. The chandelier I want is entirely up lighting. So, I don't know if I will have enough light at the kitchen table.
