Using Aquarium Light for Room Ambience - First Time

Phaedrus54837January 23, 2011

Hi all,

I'm thinking of purchasing an aquarium, including fish, plants, the works, in order to give the room that nice 'watery reflection' look. My room size is about 13' x 7'. Any suggestions regarding placement and size of the aquarium and light would be appreciated.

Thanks, and don't worry - the fish will be cared for, :)

I'm thinking "Chinese restaurant." :)

I suspect that the useful light you'll get from an aquarium is going to be minimal. I'd say just put it where it's convenient to maintain and won't get bumped.
